The days are getting shorter, conkers are falling from the trees and there is a warm haze of autumn colours across our towns and villages. Guy Fawkes Night is just around the corner! The official annual event is on 5th November but with that being a Tuesday this year, the celebrations seem to be spread out more than usual.

Dazzling shows will light up the skies, bonfires will be lit and torch lit parades will glow along our streets. Entries to some of these events require a ticket in advance so make sure you plan ahead.

 

Saturday 2nd November: 

ALDERSHOT 

Rushmoor Fireworks Spectacular returns to Manor Park with a large funfair, catering vehicles offering food and refreshments and a 20-minute firework spectacular.

Parking will be available at Parsons Barracks and High Street car parks. No sparklers, alcohol or dogs allowed.

Time: Gates open at 5pm and fireworks around 7.30pm.

ASCOT

Ascot Racecourse will kick off the Jumps season with a fun day out for all the family. As well as top-class jump racing there will be free fairground rides and live entertainment culminating with one of the region's largest firework displays. 

Time: Gates open at 10.45am, first race 12.40pm and last race 4.05pm. Fireworks at 6pm.

Tickets: Prices start from £20 for the Queen Anne Enclosure when booked in advance and under 18s go free (when accompanied by a paying adult). 

Fireworks only tickets are also available to buy in advance and on the night, from 4pm.

FLEET

Fleet Lions Fireworks Fiesta returns to Calthorpe Park with guest appearances from some of the cast of the Starburst pantomime show of Aladdin 2019.

There will be nearly a dozen food and drink stalls to keep you going through the evening.

There will also be a fire act from Jorden Hoops plus glow sticks, fibre optic and LED toys will be on sale in a marquee. 

Free parking available off Harlington Way from 4pm to 9pm. 

Time: Gates open at 5pm and fireworks at 6.30pm.

Tickets: Adult tickets cost from £3, child tickets cost from £7 and family tickets cost from £17.  

Advanced tickets are available to buy from Serendipity shop and from the Lions at the Hart Shopping Centre.

Tickets will also be available on the gate.

 

WOKING

Organised by the Rotary Club of Woking District, Woking Fireworks Extravaganza returns to Woking Park with fun for all the family. 

This year the soundtrack is all about going to the moon to celebrate 50 years since the moon landings and the fireworks display will be fully synchronised with the music. 

No alcohol, private fireworks or sparklers are permitted at the event.

Time: Gates open at 5.30pm, funfair and refreshments from 6pm, fireworks at 7.30pm.

YATELEY

Yateley Firework Fiesta is once again organised by Yateley and District Lions Club. 

Held in aid of Westfields Junior School, there will be a guy competition, bonfire and fireworks.

SUNDAY 3RD NOVEMBER:

FARNBOROUGH

Farnborough Football Club's fireworks night returns with a funfair, disco and colourful display.  

On-site parking is limited and will be charged at £2 per car (bring the correct change).

Time: Fun fair opens at 3.30pm, bars at 4pm, turnstiles at 6pm and fireworks at 7pm.

WEST END

Holy Trinity CofE Primary School promises fun for all the family with its fireworks spectacular.

Time: Gates open at 5.30pm, with an early evening display at 6pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the main fireworks display is at 7.15pm.

Food and drink will be on sale.

Tickets: Tickets available from the Fatsoma website. In advance, adults are £4, children are £2.50, pre-schooler £1 and a family tickets (two adults and up to three children) is £13, plus booking fees.

On the gate, adults are £5, children are £3 and a pre-schooler is £1.

 

9TH NOVEMBER

FARNHAM

Farnham Round Table Fireworks Event will being with a flaming torch-lit procession from Central car park, marching up Castle Street into Farnham Park, led by a Scottish pipe band in full regalia. There is food, mulled wine, Hogsback beer (hogsback.co.uk) and children’s rides along with a ‘Best Guy’ competiton, and of course a huge bonfire and fireworks display!

Time: Torchlit procession starts in Central car park at 6.15pm, with the bonfire being lit in Farnham Park at 7.15pm, followed by fireworks to music at 7.45pm.

LIGHTWATER

First Lightwater Scouts bring their annual bonfire and fireworks night back to the field behind All Saints Church this November.

As well as a spectacular fireworks display, there will be barbecue food and refreshments, music and treats to purchase.

All proceeds are invested back into future bonfire events as well as supporting Lightwater Scouts to maintain their facilities.

Time: Gates open and barbecue starts at 6pm, bonfire lit at 7pm with fireworks at 7.30pm.

Tickets: There is an entrance fee (for those over 5) and a family ticket is available, further information on pricing is available at the time of the event.
