Floral street names help house prices bloom!

News at Waterfords | 21/03/2018

While the recent British weather may have had other ideas, Tuesday 20th March marks the first day of Spring. After a long, chilly winter, gardens across the country are beginning to bud back into life and we reflect on Spring flower themed addresses.

To get into the Spring spirit, Waterfords have taken a look at addresses that include spring flowers in the title. These addresses made up just over 700 home sales in 2017. Addresses that included Peony or Hyacinth attracted the highest sales prices, with Bluebells coming in third place.

Spring is traditionally seen as a busy time for home buyers across the country. Indeed, in the last 20 years, sales in the second quarter of the year have been, on average 23% higher than the first quarter. While 2018 looks set to follow this pattern, the lack of stock of properties available to buy across the UK could restrict buyers.

However, this is excellent news if you are considering selling or letting your property. With buyer demand outweighing property supply, it is an ideal time to get a strong price for your property.
