Waterfords report 188% monthly increase in lets agreed in May

Waterfords Lettings with branches in Camberley, Chobham, Fleet and Yateley has seen a huge spike in interest in lettings properties. The lettings team reported an impressive 188% monthly increase in lets agreed in May. This is a record-breaking month for the team and biggest month on month increase in lets agreed in the department’s history.

The resilience in the Waterfords lettings department is mainly down to the fact that the team continued to provide excellent service throughout lockdown by working from home. The lettings team persisted in pairing tenants with their ideal rental properties. Registering tenants and landlords and staying ahead of the curve to help with local letting needs.

The Waterfords Property Management Departments continued to support vulnerable and key worker tenants and fix urgent maintenance issues when needed, all while fully complying with government guidelines and social distancing.

Waterfords is not alone in this sudden but welcome bounce back of the rental sector. Rightmove reported demand for rental properties jumped by 22% across the UK in the last two weeks of May. Job losses, urgent relocations and lockdown breakups seem to be the top reasons that have fuelled the surge in interest in rental properties. Waterfords reported an influx of tenants who wish to move from London to more rural areas as they are working from home a lot more due to lockdown restrictions.
