Camberley, Surrey

Camberley is a vibrant town in Surrey, 31 miles southwest of Central London, between the M3 and M4 motorways. The town is in the far west of the county, close to the borders of Hampshire and Berkshire. It is the main town in the borough of Surrey Heath with suburb-s including Crawley Hill, York Town, Diamond Ridge, Heatherside, and Old Dean.

Camberley shops and supermarkets

The Square is Camberley's main shopping centre and The Atrium is the town's biggest food and entertainment complex. Located right next to each other in the heart of the town, alongside Camberley Theatre and Arena Leisure Centre, it is a popular destination for all ages. The Mall undercover shopping precinct features fashion high street chains Primark, TopShop and River Island, as well as plenty of places to grab food on the go. On the outskirts of Camberley towards Blackwater, a Tesco Superstore, M&S Foodhall and large Sainsburys can be found. The nearby village of Bagshot to the east of the town also has a large Waitrose supermarket.

Camberley travel and transport links

Camberley is ideally located on the A30, offering easy access to Basingstoke to the South West and Bagshot and London to the east. The major motorway of the M3 is situated to the south of the town, offering incredibly easy access to the M25 and the south coast. The Camberley railway station is on the Ascot to Guildford line while Farnborough mainline station is a short drive away with regular and direct trains to London Waterloo in under 45 minutes.

Camberley schools

There are a number of good schools in Camberley. Collingwood College is one of the largest schools in the whole of Surrey and Kings International College (formerly France Hill School) is also located in the area. Other schools include Lyndhurst School, Tomlinscote School and Sixth Form College, Lakeside Primary School, Watchetts Junior School, Camberley Infant School, Crawley Ridge Junior School, Ravenscote Junior School, Bristow First Infants School, Lorraine Infant School and Nursery, Cordwalles Junior School and Heather Ridge Infants School.

Camberley leisure and recreation

There are a number of parks near Camberley to enjoy the surrounding green space of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. Frimley Lodge Park is located to the south of the town where the nearby Basingstoke Canal can also be found, offering over 30 miles of waterside walks in Surrey and Hampshire. Travel up the A30 towards London and you will come across the beautiful Virginia Water Lake and Windsor Great Park.

Camberley pubs and restaurants

The Atrium in the town centre features a Vue Cinema, Tenpin bowling and plenty of restaurants including Prezzo, Bill's, Nandos and Wagamama. The town centre also has a range of popular pubs and locally run restaurants and takeaways.
