Employee of the month August 2021

In August, the employee of the month accolade goes to an impressive team member in our Property Management team, based in our Fleet branch. The local Lettings market is hectic, and our lettings and property management team have been working incredibly hard to meet the needs of all our landlords and tenants. There is still incredibly high demand for houses and apartments to rent in the Fleet, Camberley, Chobham and Yateley areas, so if you are looking to let out your property or are a landlord with a portfolio, please get in touch with our experienced team.

Ever since Waterfords Estate Agents opened in 1995, we have always believed in rewarding our hardworking staff. In 2021, we have launched an employee of the month scheme to recognise outstanding performance across all our estate agent departments.

Sam Arfield wins employee of the month

We are delighted to announce that the winner of our employee of the month for August 2021 is our Head of Property Management, Sam Arfield.

Associate Director, Sam Charlton, comments:

“The Directors at Waterfords have received so many comments about Sam going the extra mile. Sam always leads from the front in the property management team and is often found working late and helping her team and others when needed. One of the comments received even compared her to ‘superwoman’ and another said she was ‘a wonderful asset to Waterfords Lettings’.

At Waterfords, we pursue excellence in everything we do, and Sam follows our core values every single day she comes to work. We are really proud of her, and she definitely deserves employee of the month.”

A bit about Sam

“Hi, I’m Sam and I’m the Head of Property Management in the Waterfords Fleet office. I started my career at Waterfords in January and I love delivering a superb service to all our landlords and tenants. The job can be complex and you need to keep on top of the ever-changing lettings regulations! But it is so rewarding to be able to apply this knowledge to a range of situations to ensure the best outcome for our landlords. I love building long term relationships with our landlords and being trusted with their property is an honour and a pleasure.

When I’m not at work, I really enjoy walking in the local area with my family. Having lived in Camberley and Bagshot for over 14 years, there are many to choose from Swinley Forest, Lightwater Country park and the trail near the Maultway however our favourite is walking with my family in the Frimley Fuel allotments close to Tomlinscote School, Frimley.  There are some lovely woodland trails with hilly options where you stumble across rope swings, as well as the more relaxed tracks taking you to a small pond, near Pine Ridge golf course.  It is not over-populated yet those you meet on your walks always have a ready smile.  It is uninterrupted family time, where the kids open up and become very chatty and then run around like mad – likes kids should do!  We all love it.

We also absolutely love Wagamama in Camberley.  My children are fascinated with Japanese Animé and persuaded us to try Japanese food and now it has become a firm favourite! Our preferred ‘go-to’ pub is The Wheatsheaf in Heatherside, we like to sit outside in the garden together before going for a walk.  The service is good, as is the food – and staff very friendly.”
