Day 21: Average rents across the UK increased by 1.4% in the year to November, down from 2.3% a year ago.

However, according to ARLA, 59% of lettings agents expect rental prices will rise in 2018, as a shortage of stock and greater demand place upward pressure on prices. In addition 70% of lettings agents believe that the ban of letting agent fees will contribute to growth in rents as costs are transferred.
