Running costs and broadband speed present the biggest gap between tenants and landlords in terms of what they view as important in a property to rent.

87% of tenants consider running costs, and 79% broadband speed, important in marketing literature, this falls to just 67% and 57% of landlords respectively.

Affordability is the number one priority for renters in the wake of COVID-19 and the impact of lockdown, while a rise in home working and blended working patterns place more emphasis on broadband speed.
